Every journey, creative or literal, takes putting one foot in front of the other. There's no other way to get there. I doubt I've met a person who plants her feet each day with more intention than you, WRW. The ground beneath you is what keeps changing, but your focus and ability to be so "in it" is where your courage shows. I, for one, am thrilled that you're writing and sharing your deeply thoughtful knowledge and heart with us. Keep going! xo
Wow! Thank you Ruth. Truly thank you for your steadfast vote of confidence. And thank you for your example. I am so inspired by the wise, kind, evolved woman you are. You possess the room and the ground you stand upon which such grace and knowing that is awe inspiring. You are beautiful light inside and out.
Change is hard. Adjusting is hard. But we can do it and we always do. And once you are through the growing pains, you look back and enjoy the success of working through another challenging period. Thanks for sharing with us. I really enjoyed reading this.
Oh Mama, I feel you deeply on this. For what it's worth, grade 7 was incredibly challenging for both of my kids and I've had reassurance from various teachers over the years that grade 7 sucks for everyone. Something about the developmental stage they're at (regardless of gender...I've had one of each go through this and my son is also older) and the need to individuate, like a mini dark night of the soul. My son is a sensitive soul who didn't align with stereotypical "dude" behaviors of his peers at that age (he wanted to build lego worlds and climb trees rather than play video games/sports). I can assure you that it gets better - once he entered high school and had more friends to choose from (and he's the type of kid who is more comfortable with a few close friends rather than a whole squad), my son was much happier. And then college was even better because he was surrounded by like-minded people. Your son is such a sweet and loving soul - he will find his way, I promise. xoxo
Hearing your sage wisdom means the world to me dear Lori. Thank you for sharing with me and our community the other side. And thank you for your reflection of my sweet boy. We are beyond grateful to have your guidance and your sisterhood. xoxo
Proud of you and M.! The journey you’re on and the incredible journey still ahead! You both bring so much joy and wisdom to this world and you both will figure out this next part.
I also want to thank you again for holding up a mirror. I can see myself over the past 6 months in every word you’ve written. So thank you for holding the mirror and thank you for indirectly telling me “give yourself grace. Trust the process. You’ve got this”.
You do have this Yousra. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Growth is uncomfortable because we are outside of our comfort zone. Soon enough you will look back with greater wisdom, skills and pride for what you walked through and achieved. Sending you love and high five’s sister!
An amazing piece, it really resonated with me. Change is difficult but you can easily adapt. I have felt very fearful during change but it turned out for the better.
You are absolutely right. It is a very difficult time for both M and you. But both of you get over it. This time also passes and then it becomes a memory. New year, new school, new people, it's really hard even for us adults. Good luck to him. 💕💕

Changes hard but you and M can do it! On the other side of fear, is freedom
I love that! Freedom we are on our way! We are walking through the bits of fear that flare up!

Yes BitaJunam. This will pass and we will be the better for it. Thank you for your support. 💋
This very much resonated with me. ❤
Thank you Kelly for your support. I love that you are here and that our boys have each other.
Me too ❤
This is a good read, very insightful. Life stretches us in different directions and pulling it all together can be stressing.
Yes. And we can and will chop wood, carry water. xoxo
